This year I have been running a new beginner ladies program at Saltford Golf Club. This entailed some Ladies Learn Golf Spring Beginner Sessions which gave ladies from Bristol and Bath the opportunity to enrol onto a 4 week program covering key areas of learning the sport. The program attracted 7 new beginner ladies who enjoyed 4 weeks of fun, laughs and giving golf a try! We were so pleased to receive amazing feedback from the program which was fantastic to receive.
Due to the success, I then decided to launched Ladies Learn Golf Intermediate Coaching Sessions, which incorporated ladies who had enjoyed the Ladies Learn Golf Beginner Program in late 2022 and our new intake of students from the 2023 Spring Beginner Program. We ended up with 20 new beginner ladies who were ready to enjoy the Ladies Intermediate Sessions in summer 2023 to help them further their skills and work their way onto a golf course.
The Intermediate Sessions became a huge success with friendships being made, new golfing skills learnt and lots of laughs had. Each session focused on a different area and it was amazing to see so many new beginner golfers getting the ‘golfing bug’ for the game.
Lots of ladies have taken the plunge to become Gateway 2 Golf Members, Range and Academy Members at Saltford Golf Club to further their development, this is super news for Saltford Golf Club and our Ladies Section.
We now have numerous ladies who wanted to continue their tuition into the winter with my objective to get them all out playing on the main golf course by Spring 2023. Sessions have been arranged for Thursday’s and Saturday Afternoons from November 2023 - March 2024.
